How Chlorophyll Affects Pancreatic Cancer Cells

Studies have shown that chlorophylls seem to be important for their potential systemic cancer-preventive effects. This particular study aimed to assess the antiproliferative effects of chlorophylls and determine if they can be mediated.
Data from the study showed that nutritional factors exhibiting antioxidant properties, such as chlorophylls, may be protective against cancer. Chlorophylls mediate changes of the redox status of pancreatic cancer cells which might partially be responsible for their anticancer effects and decreased incidence of cancer.
